This week we have had the wonderful opportunity to be a part of VBS! I have been shooting all of the pictures for the event and it has been amazing to see children from our church and from our community celebrating their love for Jesus Christ!

Last night I got the chance to go out with my friends and celebrate my annual birthday diner at the Taverna. We had an awesome time and listened to live music while enjoying our food. I am so blessed to be a part of such an amazing group of women. Each one of them has touched my life in some special way. Luckily no one's moved in a while but I fear that in a year from now things will be changing again. We also headed out to Clairendon Ball Room (With Teri) lol after our diner for a night out on the town. It was so much fun there was another live band playing. We jammed to awesome music but I must be getting old because by 11:30 I was so exhausted. I thought it would be nice to share a couple of things I love about each of the ladies that joined me the other night for diner. First Jen, her love for God and for her child and just her love for doing things for people has inspired me. Zara, her southern flair and her awesome sense of humor! Mel, her wisdom and her love for her girls. She is such an awesome mom and I def. hope to be the same way with my kids in the future. Teri, Her wisdom and her words. This woman can write! I am secretively addicted to her blog. Michelle, her sense of humor also but she is so honest I love that! Mariah, I love her creativity and her wisdom as well. Heather, she is so creative as well have you ever seen her awesome gift cards. I loved mine. Adrienne, she also has southern flair and is super sweet. I love to hang out with her. Nanette, she is an amazing cake maker! Just thinking about her cakes makes me drool but she is also a great friend. and last but not least Anne oh how I love my Anne. She is so funny. When we are together there is not a time that I don't laugh! Thanks to everyone for being there me and just for adding your own special touch to my life! I love you girls!

Swim kids!!!

Christian had his first swimming lesson this past Thursday. He was so excited about swim kids and could not wait to get into the pool. He actually marched all the way down to the pool. He did really well at swim. He advanced two cards in one session which was pretty exciting for him since the lessons are only 30 mins long. He also met a new friend. It was so awesome to see him having such a great time in the water and to share that experience with my husband. Colin always wants to be there for everything that Christian does and it is so awesome to be there together to watch our child grow. Makes me wanna cry!

We has awesome time at my mom's house last week. We left on Thursday night and didn't come back until yesterday. Colin's parent's and sister also joined us for the memorial weekend. It was so nice to have everyone there together. The kids enjoyed the pool but we all enjoyed the beach. The water was beautiful and the weather was nice the entire time we were there. We had our annual sushi diner one night and we also enjoyed steaks on the BBQ pit. Something that we insist on doing every year. We were going to take Christian to Disney but A. It was way to hot, B. It was way to expensive and C. We couldn't justify spending the money right now because Christian and Avah are still so young. At the beginning of the week Christian enjoyed the pool but not until he realized that he could use his ring without us. By the end of the week he was jumping in with NO ring and decided that he was going to hold his breath and touch the bottom of the pool with the help of his dad. Needless to say I think he is ready to start swimming lessons. Avah really loves the beach. Which is no surprise to me. It seems like yesterday we were just arriving on our vacation and I just cannot believe how fast our vacation was over. I am excited to get back to our friends here but not really excited to come home. I really do miss being around family. It just melts my heart when I see the love that the grandparents have for our children.
