This year I had to pleasure of joining some wonderful women to take on a great task! We took care of 14 babies and enjoyed every precious moment of it. I worked in the baby chicks room this year because Avah is still nursing. For the first time Christian went off to his own classroom. He loved it. The last day Christian got sick and we were not able to attend. I just wanted to share some pictures from this week.

We cannot believe that our little Avah will be 3 months next week! The first 3 months were def. a challenge but she is continuing to develop and turn into such a sweet little baby. She rolls over now coo's and her favorite thing would be passing gas! (We have a little stinker on our hands) She's been on reflux medicine and it has changed A LOT about the way she acts during the day. She doesn't just cry all day anymore. She really only cryes when she is tired, bored, or needs to eat. All in all she's becoming a better baby! Yesterday we went to see Daddy at his boxing class and then headed over to Tropical smoothie for some free jetty punch smoothies. The volunteer fire department was there from Dale City and had the fire hydrant open. There were a bunch of kids out there so we let Christian take off his shoes and go far it. I wish I would have had my camera on me. He had a BLAST. He would run back and forth up and down the road soaking wet! Today we plan to head out to Manassas Airport to meet Mike and Anne. I really hope that the weather holds up and doesn't ruin our day of fun!!!!!!!!! We have a really busy week next week and we are really looking forward to VBS and our trip down to Tampa. I'm a little nervous driving 12 hours with baby and toddler in tow so we shall see. Also, this will give us a little insight into our 15 hour trip in October down to Gulf Shores! LoL

24 years of life!

Yesterday the kids and I celebrated 24 years of my life. Oh how time has changed. I had a great day on my Birthday. Christian woke up with his usualy "Mommmyyyy Mommmmyyyy" When I went into the room he wished me Happy Birthday and then asked me "What would you like for breakfast" lol. I had to laugh because he was really serious about making his mommy some breakfast. Avah was her cute usual self. Once everyone got up Megan came over to watch the kids while I went off to my cyclying class. Once I got home we ate a little something and headed over to the spraygrounds with Anne. I had a great time with her and the kids. She's such a loving person (yes you are :-) ) It was really relaxing. Christian and Tyler had a blast! We then came home and both of the kids went down at the same time WEIRD! So I jumped in the shower and got cleaned up because we were going to have dinner at Mariah's house. Avah didn't really co operate at Mariah' house but she fixed a nice lovely dinner and made me some awesome red velvet cup cakes my favorite. When it was time to leave Christian threw a fit lol. He's been a little bummed this last past week as Colin was away on a business trip. SIGH It was the first year that I had to spend my birthday alone. I def. kept myself busy so that I wouldnt stop and think about anything that would make me sad (for your information my dad and I shared a birthday). So here I am the day after wondering "SERIOUSLY WHERE DID THE DAY GO? LOL) Anyways Colin is coming home today and I couldn't be more excited. Thanks to everyone for the Birthday Wishes I love you guys!!!

Yesterday morning we awoke to thunderstorms and some pretty heavy rain. My first thought was oh no Teri's will be canceled. Sure enough by 10 o'clock Teri had to cancel the swim date for another day because the weather didn't seem like it was going to clear up. At around 10:15 the clouds started to break and out came the same. It made for a seriously beautiful day. We called Teri back at around 11:30 to see if we could pop in for a couple of hours and she said yes! We ended up having a great time. It was very low key only 4 moms were there with their children. Teri (Thankyou) so much for letting us come over and for watching Christian most of the time. I appreciate it so much. It's totally different from last year's Tuesday at Teri's where I could run around and chase after my crazy two year old. Not to mention slathering tons of tanning oil. lol This year I have Avah and find myself yelling rather than chasing or slathering lol. So thanks to all of those who have helped. When we got home Christian slept until 5:15 I actually had to go into his room and wake him up. It was a great break in our day! I cannot wait until Friday!!!!!!

Last night we took Christian and Avah to the General Dynamics Family Day at the Potomac Nationals Game. We were a little apprehensive because we didn't know how well Avah would do at the game. We ended up having a fantastic time. I love to go places as a family it's so awesome. Christian really enjoyed himself. He got a really cool spiderman painted on his face and he was so excited to see the boys throwing the ball. Since I grew up in a baseball park lol it almost felt like home to me. I enjoyed the game. Avah was a little cranky at dinner but once we got in the stands she setteled down and watched all the people. Total sensory overload. Once we got her in the car after the game was over she passed out. What a great way to spend a Saturday evening!

Two Months!

We have made it lol! Avah's 2 months old now! I cannot believe it. She's smiling, cooing, rolling over, and still crying lol. We had her well check today and it's a whole lot different than when I would take Christian in. She is to tiny compared to him when he was this age. She weighed in at 10lbs 9oz. and is 22 inches long. She had to get shots today and did not like it one bit! She cryed the whole way home...poor baby! She is going to be put on Nexum for her silent reflux. I pray that it works and will ease her pains. Anyways.... here is her most recent picture!
