Happy Birthday to You!

Happy Birthday Sweet Avah Faith!

I loved you from the very start,

You stole my breath, embraced my heart.
Our life together has just begun
You're part of me my little one.
As mother with child, each day I grew,
My mind was filled with thoughts of you.

I'd daydream of the things we'd share,
Like late-night bottles and Teddy bears.
Like first steps and skinned knees,
Like bedtime stories and ABC's.
I thought of things you'd want to know,
Like how birds fly and flowers grow.

I thought of lessons I'd need to share,
Like standing tall and playing fair.
When I first saw your precious face,
I prayed your life be touched with grace.
I thanked the angels from above,
And promised you unending love.

Each night I lay you down to sleep,
I gently kiss your head and cheek.
I count your little fingers and toes;
I memorize your eyes and nose.
I linger at your nursery door,
Awed each day I love you more.

Through misty eyes, I dim the light,
I whisper, "I love you" every night.
I loved you from the very start,
You stole my breath, embraced my heart.
As mother and child our journeys begin,
My heart's yours forever little one.

May God bless you as we continue on this journey together!

Love Mommy & Daddy!

God had a plan!

Sweet Lydia! You are so loved!

This post is all about exactly what the title says! God had a plan for me. About two months ago one of my girlfriends approached me about a bible study.. I turned away from it at first because seriously I thought I didn't have time..(I thought I didn't but God new I did!) I got online and ordered the book and the minute it was in my hands I couldn't put it down. God had been slapping me in the face "YOU NEED THIS" The book is by Beth Moore, So Long Insecurity. I have always wanted to make one of my hobbies a business but could always here a voice inside of my head saying that I couldn't do it or I would never be able to accomplish it. With the help of this book and my husband's awesome words of encouragement I have started my own Business. The funny part is it all happened in 2 weeks. I am so very thankful to announce DesireeAngellePhotographyLLC. My website is DesireeAngellePhotography.com My goal is to be an on location newborn, infant, and toddler photographer. So far I have already done 6 shoots and I cannot wait to do more. I love being able to hold a newborn and just feel the love that surrounds the room when I'm doing a shoot. It's like God is right there with me(which he is). I still keep hearing that voice telling me that I can't make it or that I will fail but I have put my full trust in God that this is what he wanted me to do and this is what I will do. So thanks to all of my friends who have given me words of encouragement and thanks to my husband who has opened a door to letting me be something other than just a mommy. Something that defines who I am! And thanks to God for his very presence and for his trust in me!

Avah's 1st Birthday Party!

Can I believe it is over? No Was it worth all of the hard work and effort? Yes. Avah's first birthday party turned out to be a huge success. From all of the favors, to the cupcake cake, balloons, puff balls, and all the awesome food I think it went well. Avah was a little overwhelmed but for the most part had a great time. All of the older kids had a blast playing in the play area. I was so greatful to have help from wonderful ladies who worked so hard with me in creating the perfect birthday party for our little ones. My mom and Colin's mom were able to come in and celebrate for the party and I believe that the kids would have been excited just to see their grandparent's. Christian woke up this a.m. saying "I wish MiMi and Gunga were here to play with me." Sad times. Avah will be actually turning one on Wednesday of next week. We will do something very small at our house to celebrate her real birthday. Thank to everyone who came out and helped with the birthday party. It means alot to us! Thanks Again, Desi

Almost here!

That's right the Girl's (Avah, Morgan, Lizzie and Kate) Birthday party is almost here. I have been doing some serious planning for this party and I am so excited to be able to share this day with 70 of our good friends and family! We rented out a church so that our older kids would have something to do while the 1 year olds were either walking or crawling around. This past week the mom's and I worked on the the favors and just getting everything ready for the party. There are still a few kinks to work out but I think it will be an awesome time. Avah is quite the walker now. She has been letting go and cruising to wherever she pleases. This doesn't surprise me because Christian was also cruising around for his first birthday also. I wanted her to crawl for a little bit longer but it will be fun to see how Avah and Christian interact together now. But I have to go for now...more planning and preparing. There will be pictures up from the party this weekend!

Walking!

Avah is officially walking. I will try to get it on video today. She took 10 steps yesterday and would have gone further if big brother wouldn't have knocked her down. Boy are we in for it! :-)

Dentist!

Can you tell the difference in personalities here??!?!?

Christian had his first dentist apt the other day. Excuse the mess around his face he was eating. He was very nervous about going to the dentist but I managed to coax him into going. He watched as I got my teeth cleaned first. The dentist and her assistant were so good with making him feel comfortable and showing him around. He thought the chair was super cool. After I had my teeth cleaned we went back with Christian where he was offered super cool Elmo shades to keep the "sun" out of his eyes. You could see how anxious he was to get this over with. He picked bubble gum as his first choice in toothpaste "ugh" I tried it and it was horrible! But Christian liked it so I didn't say anything. She starting cleaning his teeth and when she got to the back of the two front teeth he began to giggle and squirm. It was so funny both the assistant and I were laughing hysterically. It was so awesome to see how he has grown up over the last three years. I was sitting there picturing my sweet baby who isn't a baby anymore. Going to the dentist with him was a little bitter sweet! They grow up so fast. So enjoy every moment! I have pictures on my cell of him in the dental chair but haven't figured out how to get them on my computer yet. I forgot to bring my camera! HELLO! DUHHH

Belated 11 months!

Avah in her birthday dress!
Handmade with love from Mommy!

Avah is now 11 months old. Only three weeks away from her first birthday party. Alot has been going on. Alot of time has gone into every little detail of this party. I cannot wait to celebrate your first year of life. Avah is currently taking steps. Two at a time. She only has two teeth at the moment. For a while I thought she was getting her top left tooth and I check today and it has disappeared! Who knows! She has also picked up some new words, "yay yay", "daddy", "mommy", "nana". She has become quite the little parrot. She loves following her brother around where ever he is. On days that Christian is at school I find that she is a little cranky until brother comes home and brightens her day. Sweet baby girl we love you so much!
