Colin Christian and PAPA Toe!
I recently asked a good friend of mine to shoot some photos of Avah and she did such a wonderful job. We got a couple of good shots until Avah was done and ready for a nap. I was wondering to myself how in the world will we take pictures of one child with six kids in the house. Well as I saw for myself she is a very well organized mom and when I get frustrated with just two kids it is moms like her who make me realize that I have it somewhat easy! So thanks Mel for helping me out! Also, Christian had a blast at the play date. When we got in the car and I asked him "Did you have fun?" and his response was "Yes, they are my princesses!" LOL. He played with three girls for four hours.... You all know how I feel about most of the families being military in the area...I guess I just can't help it. Colin was in the military does that count? lol
This was a year ago! Look at how much they have changed!
Avah is 4ths! We had her 4 month well check today and she did such a great job! She is 14lbs. even just two lbs shy of what her brother was at 4mths and she is 24 inches long. She is continuing to move on up on the growth curve! She is really starting to interact now cooing, grabbing toys, and enjoying her tummy time a little more. She is also starting to look more and more like Christian every day! They have increased her dose of Zantac due to her weight and have also given me the go to start giving her rice cereal because she is waking up at least three times during the night. The doctor gave me the choice of supplementing but I really want to hold off on that for as long as possible. On another note I was getting Avah out of the car after her apt. and I look over at the house door to where Christian is standing and I see a full monty! lol He was peeing in the front yard! I wanted to fuss but couldn't It was hilarious. What can I say he has NO shame what so ever. Three year olds are so fun to be around! On another note I wanted to update on the neck...My neck is getting better. I'm going to the chiropractor on Monday! I hope that this will solve the problem! I am also going to stop wearing the sling! I think it's killing my neck. I am also considering taking Avah out of the infant seat and placing her into the Marathon. 14lbs. is alot of strain on my neck.
Yeah that's right we had to go to the ER except this time it wasn't for any of the kids it was for me. Yesterday morning I woke up with severe neck cramps at around 4 o'clock. This was not like any old regular cramp, it seriously felt like I was in labor but the pains were coming from the neck! Ouch. If you had to ask me on a scale of 1 to 10 what the pain was and still is when it cramps I would say an 11. Anyways Jen came over to stay with Christian and we brought Avah with us. When we got there the ER was empty so they got us in the back relatively quick. The Doctor came to look at me and diagnosed me with Torticollis(which by the way I think she is way off). I was rushed out and sent home with Motrin and Skelaxin. When I got home yesterday I didn't want to take the muscle relaxer because I knew that it would make me sleepy so I waited until nighttime to take it. Well when I grabbed the bottle out of the cabinet it said DO NOT TAKE WHILE BREASTFEEDING (Seriously!) The Doctor told me that it was ok to take. So I called the pharmacy back and the pharmacist told me NOT to take it while nursing because the risk outweighed the benefits. I ended up taking a percacet and sleeping alright well when I woke up this morning the peracet wore off and the cramps were back...I have no clue as to what this is and if you are reading this and can offer me some advice please let me know. I had no idea how much I use my neck muscles on a day to day bases and this is really taking a tole on me. Besides being in pain there are only certain ways that I can pick Avah up to nurse her. Please keep me and Colin in your prayers....I know that I am testing his patience a little because I am so frustrated with this. I am calling my doctor today to see if they can get me in to get a second opinion and maybe get the right medical treatment.
Seriously what in the world did you do to me?!?!? lol
