Christian "Crab"

Christian is turning into such a BIG boy these days. He is loving school! The other day when I went to drop him off we arrived at his school a little bit early so I decided that I would leave the school parking lot and go ride around for a little while. Christian was devastated when I did that! He really freaked out. He is so into his school and he cannot wait until Tuesday and Thursday come around. This morning was a little different than our normal school routine. Carpool started this morning and it's AWESOME. We drive our kids around school and then the teachers come and get them out of the car! He was super excited that Mrs. McLaughin brought him to the car. I think he has a crush on his teacher! He also had a random jacket in his bag and claimed that his teacher gave it to him because she loves him! lol The first week of his school I didn't really get any feed back from him about what he was doing when he was there. When I asked him today that was a different story. He told me all about the Starfish that loved the ocean water. He also told me about the Old Gray Cat and has now been singing the Snack Prayer all around the house. He is growing up so fast and continues to amaze me. I love my little man!

This past weekend we had the chance to Stribling orchard for a birthday party. The kids had a great time. The weather I must say was perfect. The skys were clear and the air was cool. It turned out to be a great day! On Sunday I was really luck to head down to Old Town Alexandria with Jen to have some girl time! I def. needed it because the I have been a little exhausted lately. The kids have had colds over the last two days so that has been both stressful and very tiring. Avah really hasn't been sleeping through the night. I hope that the kids get well soon. I hate to see them sick.

I forgot!

I forgot to share that right after Christian's school visit he came down with fever of 102, well the fever had gone on for 4 days and then he broke out in a rash. He def. had roseolla!

Here's a little 5 and a half month update on Avah! If they even have such a thing. Avah has started solid food's. She was def. ready for them. She was not and still isn't sleeping through the night but I am hoping that today since I have added an extra solid feeding into her schedule that she will sleep through the night tonight. Most people have strayed away from making baby food because it seems as though buying it at the store is alot easier. Well I must say I diagree. With the help of my neighbor Jen I managed to figure out the baby food making process. It's pretty darn easy. It is also fun. I can't wait to see the look on her face when she trys a new food that i've created for her. I also cannot wait to mix the fruits and make special receipes for her. Have you ever seen a jar of Advocado baby food at the grocery store! NOPE But you can def. make it at home. Avah has already been through pears, apples, and sweet potatoes. She loves them all. As soon as she sees me take the cubes out of the freezer her feet start moving and she starts squealing. When I added her third feeding today I knew she was ready because she instantly began to smack her lips at me! She has def. caught up with Christian and is growing rapidly. This morning Christian started his first day of preschool! He was so excited about going to school this morning that he did not even want to eat his own breakfast. He is so ready for school. He is becoming very independent these days and is ready to do a lot of things on his own. It is good to have something in his life now to call his own. When we dropped him off he got to meet the school rabbit and then he went straight to finding his own tote. He then went off to pick out his picture, which by the way he ended up picking out some other kids picture. I guess he wanted to be Tanner instead of Christian Crab lol. The teacher then had to do some coaxing to get him out of one of the stations....good luck with that. So she managed to lure him back to making play dough. Once he was settled in I looked around and that was it. Avah and I were off heading back home. I'm a little sad but I am very happy that he is enjoying his school. I am really looking forward to watching him grow and excell at school. I cannot wait to see him change infront of my own eyes. He is growing so quickly! Christian you are so very smart and can do anything that you put your little mind to. I love you baby boy!

5 months!

Avah's 5 months! Cannot believe it but the wee one was 5 months yesterday!
She is starting to coo and talk more and more everyday! She continues
to get rolls! She is so chunky! We are back on rice cereal and cloth
diapering is going great! Did I mention that she is rolling all over our living room!
Gurka you need to see Avah soon! Before we know it she will be crawling!
